Quick look at the Big Ten...
Gonna be a quick one today. Life is so busy I don't have near enough time to write like I want to. Some upsets and near upsets around the Big Ten last week. Purdue escapes NU and then NU takes it out on Minnesota who pulled off a miracle comeback win at Wisconsin mid week. Penn State finally wins at Indiana. Michigan State shakes off two pesky opponents to stake a two game lead in the conference and is off to its best start since 1978 (in league play). Check out the Big Ten recap.
This week looks to be no different. Sorry Buckeye Nation. You went 9-1 to take the prize but I don't have time to get commentary. I'll owe you one!

It is possible that this will be my last week for hoops; the number of missed games because of lateness is approaching critical mass.
Northwestern 60 at MICHIGAN STATE 70--Wildcats looked good at Welsh-Ryan for all but six minutes last week--but Breslin is a WHOLE different kettle of fish.
WISCONSIN 58 at Iowa 50--Bo knows must-wins.
PURDUE 66 at Minnesota 63 (biased but reasonable pick for third best in conference)--I think that the NU scare plus IA rout indicate that the Boilers are BAACKK.
Wisconsin 65 at ILLINOIS 69--This game is exactly what the Badgers DON'T need--a roadie against a hot team.
Iowa 58 at PENN STATE 68--Nittanies look more convincing as a Big Dance team at the moment than the Buckeyes or Wolverines while the Hawkeyes need to scramble just to make the NIT.
Northwestern 57 at MICHIGAN 65--An upset is possible but I think that the Wolverine talent, especially at home, is a bit too much for the Wildcats.
MINNESOTA 66 at Indiana 57--Must win if Gophers want the NCAAs.
Michigan State 62 at OHIO STATE 66--Dangerous pick; easy to go wrong here. Basically a home court pick; if the Spartans DO win, the Big Ten race may almost be over.
Anonymous is me.
